David Franklin lives and works in San Francisco. He is the founder and coproducer of the semi-annual underskatement film festival, a collection of short films made by skateboarders.
The photos in these posts are mostly film, shot with either his late grandfather’s Rolleicord, a Hasselblad 500c or a Nikon 35Ti point-and-shoot.
Recently, on a trip to Southern California, a woman complimented him on the Rolleicord and her husband asked, “Yeah, but does it have a memory?”
